Steve Hawn, President and CEO

Since joining Frontier in 1994 as a member of the sales team, Steve served in a number of leadership positions until being named President and CEO by the board of directors in 2008. He’s a graduate of the University of Notre Dame’s Mendoza College of Business. As CEO, Steve has guided and defined the principles – specifically an emphasis on teamwork – responsible for Frontier’s steady growth in recent years. A hands-on leader, Steve’s day-to-day responsibilities include energetically overseeing all aspects of the corporation and sharing his passion to make Frontier exceed its expectations. When not at work, he can often be found working on a home improvement project or playing with the family’s golden retrievers. A family man, Steve cherishes his time with his wife and two young daughters.

 

Benjamin Ingwersen, VP of Sales and Marketing

Benjamin is one of Frontier’s longest tenured team members, joining the staff in 1994 along with Steve Hawn. He’s responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company’s sales and marketing and also serves as product manager for HP, Alpha, Storageworks and Proliant. Benjamin’s a self-taught, energetic entrepreneur who jumped into the IT business at the age of 18 and has loved it ever since. His creative thinking and leadership have enabled Frontier to offer diverse solutions to major clients IT problems. To relax, Benjamin enjoys music, horsepower toys and spending time with his wife and three daughters.

Scott Porter, Chief Financial Officer

A graduate of Hope College where he earned a degree in accounting and business administration, Scott is responsible for corporate finance and accounting, IT infrastructure and system integration for Frontier and establishing IT services, process and procedures for FrontierSG. He joined Frontier in 2008 after owning and operating his own IT firm that served more than 100 corporate clients. Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and daughter and sailing. He’s a member of the Grand Traverse Yacht Club where he serves on the board of directors.

Gene Sauter, Enterprise Solution Architect

The founder of Processing Concepts Limited, Gene brought his many years of expertise to the Frontier team when PCL was purchased in 2009. As an Enterprise Solution Architect, he is dedicated to making Frontier’s business grow through his efforts in innovative systems design and implementation for clients. A private pilot, Gene has earned a BFA from the University of Notre Dame and a MSCS from DePaul University.

William Sauter, Enterprise Infrastructure Architect

A key member of Processing Concepts Limited before joining Frontier in 2009, William is responsible for planning and implementing information technology, making IT a strategic asset and business enabler. While he’s a Microsoft Certified Professional and Proxim Certified Wireless Engineer, William has the ability to adapt to advances in technology rapidly without formal training. He and his wife Anna are the parents of two boys.

Greg Bright, Director of Operations

An experienced multi-tasker, Greg Bright oversees product auditing and testing, the filling of sales orders, the team of technical engineers, inbound and outbound warehouse operations, building maintenance and special tasks. He’s a firm believer in the team concept that the company embraces and credits that philosophy with making Frontier a vibrant, growing company. A graduate of Northwestern Michigan College, Greg was named Frontier’s Employee of the Year for 2008. When not working, he enjoys hunting and spending family time with wife Tiffany and their two daughters and son.

Carol Kasubowski, Assistant Controller

 

Carol is a highly organized and detailed-focused Assistant Controller with a track record that accurately and efficiently supports overall accounting activities. She has comprehensive knowledge of accounting and audit principles, A/P, A/R, payroll, general ledger postings, invoicing, taxation and regulatory guidelines.  With the ability to analyze cost control and provide timely and frequent financial information, supporting corporate focus and objectives.

Jenny James, Solutions Group Coordinator

A former Employee of the Year, Jenny oversees the smooth operation of several Frontier responsibilities, including domestic and overseas accounts, and trouble shooting past due accounts. She’s also the friendly face of Human Resources to welcome new hires and get them settled in to Frontier. Her upbeat personality, experience and positive attitude make her a valuable team player.

Jon Robinson, Inventory Control Manager

Keeping inventory counts accurate through auditing is Jon’s responsibility. He helps keep the warehouse organized and production running smoothly to keep operating costs down. He enjoys golf and spending time with his wife Margaret and their son.

Judy Sperry, RMA/RTV Administrator

With a reputation for accuracy and efficiency, Judy oversees the important task of handling returns. She brings to Frontier her experience in accounting and finance along with her BS in Accountancy from Ferris State University. In her spare time, Judy enjoys gardening, reading, and breaking glass in her stained glass studio.

Tim Allard, Logistics Manager

Tim has been with Frontier for more than eight years and feels that his experience has been not only a rewarding job, but an adventure. A devoted team player, Tim’s philosophy is to do the very best work on every task that comes his way. In his free time he enjoys golf, fishing, hunting and spending time with his wife Beth and their three sons.

Brian Quinlan, Cisco Product Manager

A graduate of Northern Michigan University, Brian is responsible for purchasing and selling Cisco products. With a decade of experience at Frontier, he brings a professional perspective to work every day and is proud that the company is able to implement intelligent growth while staying focused on its core objectives. 

Cody Maher, Major Accounts Manager

Cody, a graduate of Lake Superior State University, is responsible for end user sales and support. He enjoys his role in retail sales because it gives him a chance to help people solve their problems. An avid outdoorsman, Cody is a board member of the Traverse City chapter of Ducks Unlimited.

Chris Steffke, Account Executive

A graduate of Ferris State University, Chris is responsible for sales and purchasing of HP9000, DEC, Compaq and Cisco systems. In his years at Frontier, he’s built a reputation for being reliable and a creative problem solver. In his free time, Chris enjoys fly fishing, hunting, snowmobiling and playing music.

Emmett Mulligan, Sun Product Manager

Emmett is in charge of the purchases and remarketing of Frontier’s Sun inventory. A big-picture advocate, he understands that any company can be there at the beginning of a sale, but true success is based on return customers. He’s devoted to building customer loyalty through quality service.

Jon Kellogg, Account Executive

Buying and selling HP hardware is one of Jon’s main responsibilities and it makes every day working at Frontier an adventure. By watching market trends and taking advantage of opportunities, Jon helps clients receive the best return on their investments. He enjoys fly-fishing and family time with his wife Chrysoula and their young daughter.

Kevin Scott, Account Executive

Kevin specializes in direct consumer sales, working with all product lines. He owned and operated a robotic integration company before joining Frontier in 2009. His extensive background in robotics, his mechanical aptitude and his dedication to serving clients make Kevin a vital team member.

Mike Vander Horn, IBM Product Manager

With more than a decade at Frontier, Mike is in charge of buying, selling and managing the company’s IBM hardware inventory. He’s a team player and always willing to help solve a problem. A former Employee of the Year, Mike earned a Business Management degree from Grand Valley State University.

Paul Wieland, Senior IBM Account Manager

Paul works with end-users, brokers and maintenance companies as a resource for acquiring and disposing of IBM hardware. A Northern Illinois University grad, he is responsible for developing vendor and customer relationships, managing and maintaining inventory and assisting the retail sales representatives.

Jennifer Hennigar, Marketing Assistant

Jennifer earned an AS degree in Computer Information Systems from Northwestern Michigan College and is responsible for maintaining content on Frontier’s web site. It’s an important role, since the web site is vital in informing customers around the world about the services and solutions that Frontier can provide.

Barbi Hill, Business Development Manager

Barbi joined Frontier in the fall of 2009 as a business development manager. She is involved in all facets of Business Development as well as assisting with the Solutions Group. She enjoys spending time on the water and raising her daughter Kassondra.

TJ Caughell, Senior Technician

TJ is responsible for auditing, testing and configuring systems. His extensive knowledge of multiple product lines makes him one of Frontier’s most valuable employees. TJ earned an AD from North Central Michigan College. TJ and wife Amy are kept busy raising their two daughters and son.

Andy Feiger, Computer Technician

Andy, who handles auditing and testing of equipment, can be relied on to show up every day and give his very best effort. In that way, he’s typical of the diligent staff who serve Frontier’s list of national and international clients. Andy has earned an AD in Computer Information Systems.

Taylor Avery, Engineer

Taylor, who earned a degree in computer network systems from ITT Technical Institute, is responsible for configuring, testing and assuring quality of several types of Frontier products. His knowledge, experience and work ethic make Taylor a valuable member of the Frontier family.

Chris Lautner, Computer Technician

Chris earned a business degree from Northwestern Michigan College before joining Frontier in 2008. He plays a vital role in overseeing inventory and maintaining a smooth operation in the warehouse. Chris has earned a reputation for being willing to help wherever and whenever needed.

Aaron Novak, Inventory Control

Aaron has a background in Aviation and comes to Frontier as an Inventory Control Specialist.  He brings loyalty, integrity and unprecedented work ethic to the team at Frontier.  Aaron enjoys golf, snowboarding, motorcycle riding and playing basketball.

Rick Harker, Refurbishment Manager–Quality Control

Rick is responsible for making sure that every shipment that leaves Frontier is packed safely and securely. He also plays an important part in helping inventory control by stocking shelves, labeling products and keeping the warehouse clean and organized.

Richard Koenders, Managing Director at FrontierBV in the Netherlands

Richard is responsible for all strategic and operational activities at Frontier’s office in the Netherlands. His years of experience and 100 percent dedication to his job make him a valuable employee. Richard is very proud of making Frontier BV profitable for several years despite working in a difficult business climate.

Manja Wulffraat, Administrator at FrontierBV in the Netherlands

Manja, who earned a Leisure Management and Marketing Degree, is responsible for all administrative tasks within Frontier the Netherlands. She handles her responsibilities with a friendly, professional demeanor. A quick learner, Manja has been instrumental in the growth and success of the European market.

Thomas Kwak, Sales & Marketing at FrontierBV in the Netherlands

Thomas is a former Marketing and Communication student and is involved in all aspects of sales and also acts as a management backup and is a key reinforcement to the Dutch division of Frontier. His past commercial experience has taught him that smooth service and clear communication is the key to a good long-term relationship between companies.

Kadin Wieland (Team Morale Leader)

A valued FCC family member for over a year, 7 year old Kadin, a purebred Golden Retriever, inspires us all with a warm hello and his playful spirit on a daily basis. A skillful and determined negotiator, he politely and playfully pleads his case for treats and affection at every opportunity. He can be found roaming the office, sleeping under a desk, or occasionally chasing squirrels outside in our park like office setting.
