What does a day in your work life look like?

Up early daily… 4:30am. Generally, I arrive at work between 6:30-7:00am. I love the peace and quiet of the early morning and it is my productive time. Days vary widely depending on the challenges that await. It could be non-stop Teams or ZOOM meetings, or 1-2-1’s with co-workers, and a significant amount of time dealing with emails from staff and partners. I try to get out of the office mid-day either for a bike ride or simply to clear my head.

What do you love about your job?

I love the opportunity to make Frontier something bigger and better… to give our employees opportunities to do big things and grow personally… and I love that I am associated with a group of people who are generous and passionately support the needs of our local community.

What do you like to do outside of work?

Golf, biking, and dogs… basically any time I can I like to spend it in the woods or out in nature. Our dogs are family, and at least one (Wilson) is with me almost all the time.

Do you have any pets?

I have always brought my dogs (Golden Retrievers) to work. First Newport, my first Golden who at 6 weeks old flew with me in a duffel bag from Orange County, CA to Traverse City, MI. Then Kadin, the big red rescue Golden, Wrigley, king of all ball-chasers, who passed away in 2019, and now my faithful companion Wilson. My wife, June, and I also have a 6-month-old Golden puppy at home, Beti.

What’s something about you people might not know?

I am an excellent ironer… thanks to three summers spent at a dry cleaning plant in Chicago.
