Peplink Care Plans: Everything You Need to Know

New Peplink Care Plans Now Available

Peplink recently introduced a new suite of Care Plans. First, PrimeCare and EssentialCare are still being offered. However, SmartCare is being rebranded as EssentialCare+, and Peplink is bringing all the great features of this offering to their PrimeCare devices with the introduction of PrimeCare+. Selecting the appropriate care plan is critical for any deployment, so in this blog we will go over each of the options to help you make the optimal choice.

Peplink Care Plan Availability

The first step to choosing a Care Plan is determining which are available for a device. If your device has a SKU ending with -PRM, PrimeCare and PrimeCare+ are available for it. All other Peplink products (except antennas and accessories) are eligible for EssentialCare or EssentialCare+.

What All Peplink Care Plans Include

All Peplink Care Plans include critical features like InControl 2 Cloud Management and Intouch. Notably, SpeedFusion Connect Protect is now available at no additional cost with any Care Plan subscription.

The data usage for SpeedFusion Connect Protect is technically unlimited. However, it is important to note all compatible models come with a specific tier of SpeedFusion Connect Protect allowance. If the usage limit is exceeded, the service will still be available. However, Fair Usage Policy mode will be activated, reducing the speed to 10Mbps. These usage limits are intended to ensure a smooth business application experience for all users while preventing excessive misuse. After exceeding the usage quota for a device, more SFC Protect data can be purchased here to allow access to the full speeds of SFC. Models and annual usage limits are detailed below.

Which features are exclusive to PrimeCare and PrimeCare+

For applicable PrimeCare devices, FusionHub Peers and SpeedFusion Bonding are included with the subscription. However, FusionHub Peers and SpeedFusion Bonding are licensed separately for EssentialCare and EssentialCare+ devices.

What features are exclusive to EssentialCare+ and PrimeCare+

Advance Hardware Replacement RMA is included with both EssentialCare+ and PrimeCare+. That means Approved RMA cases are provided with a replacement unit prior to us receiving the defective unit. Regular PrimeCare and EssentialCare include standard RMA hardware warranties. Therefore, RMA replacement units will only be issued upon receipt of the defective unit.

24/7 Support Ticket coverage is included with EssentialCare+ and PrimeCare+. In contrast, regular EssentialCare and PrimeCare Support Ticket coverage is limited to 9:00AM to 5:00PM CST. More details on this can be seen here.
